We take great pride in the quality of our plants, trees, and garden products and want you to be happy with your purchase. Because plants and trees are living, perishable products, our return policy is designed to protect both our customers and the health and quality of our nursery stock.

Plants & Trees

All plant and tree returns require prior authorization from The Mustard Seed Garden Center.

If your plant or tree arrives damaged, dead, unhealthy, or you receive the incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible. Return or refund requests must be made within 3 days of delivery.

To help us evaluate your claim, clear photos of the plant and its original packaging must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.

Once a plant or tree has been removed from its original nursery container, repotted, installed, or planted, it is no longer eligible for return or refund.

Eligible Returns & Refunds

A return, replacement, or refund may be authorized when:

• A plant arrives damaged, dead, or in an unhealthy condition.

• An incorrect item was shipped.

• The plant received is significantly different from the item described or ordered.

All claims are subject to review and approval by The Mustard Seed Garden Center.

Items Not Eligible for Return

Returns or refunds will not be issued for:

• Natural variations in plant size, shape, color, fullness, flowering, or appearance.

• Plants that have been removed from their original containers, repotted, installed, or planted.

• Damage resulting from improper care, watering, handling, transportation, environmental conditions, or transplant/repotting stress after delivery.

• Plants that have declined or died after being received in healthy condition.

• Change-of-mind purchases unless a return has been specifically authorized.

Authorized Plant Returns

Because plants and trees are living materials, customers are responsible for all costs associated with an authorized return, including return transportation or shipping.

Returned plants must arrive in healthy, sellable condition and in their original nursery containers.

If an authorized plant is returned in sellable condition, a 20% restocking fee, along with any applicable shipping or transportation charges, will be deducted from the refund.

Plants returned dead, damaged, or in an unsellable condition due to circumstances occurring after delivery are not eligible for a refund, and the original purchase and shipping charges will remain due.

Garden Supplies & Hard Goods

Unused garden supplies and hard goods may be eligible for return with prior authorization.

Eligible merchandise must be unused, unopened when applicable, and in its original packaging and sellable condition.

Authorized returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee and applicable shipping or transportation charges.

Our Plant Quality Promise

We carefully select and handle our plants to ensure they leave The Mustard Seed Garden Center in healthy condition. Since plants are living products, their appearance and performance can naturally vary depending on season, weather, transportation, planting conditions, watering, and ongoing care.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us promptly. We will review the situation and work with you to determine the appropriate resolution.

The Mustard Seed Garden Center reserves the right to approve or deny returns, replacements, or refunds based on the condition of the merchandise and the circumstances of the request.
