LATIN NAME:RHODODENDRON 'Conleb'
Encore® Azalea Autumn Embers® is a compact evergreen shrub celebrated for its vibrant orange-red blooms and glossy, dark green foliage. Unlike traditional azaleas, this variety produces an abundance of flowers in spring and continues blooming throughout summer and fall. Its striking color makes it a wonderful choice for foundation plantings, borders, containers, and landscape accents. It typically grows to approximately 3 feet tall and 3.5 feet wide.
Amount of Sunlight: Tolerates full sun; prefers partial shade
Amount of Water: Water regularly, especially during periods of extreme heat
Soil Conditions: Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil
Cold Hardiness Zone: 6–10
This low-maintenance shrub benefits from consistent watering while the root system becomes established. Once mature, it requires only occasional watering, although additional watering is recommended during extended dry periods. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plant helps retain moisture and maintain healthy soil conditions. Light pruning immediately after the spring bloom cycle will encourage dense growth and plentiful flowering throughout the growing season.
