Autumn Monarch™ Encore® Azalea is a robust, upright evergreen shrub known for its beautiful ruffled blooms in shades of orange-pink with delicate red speckles. Unlike traditional azaleas that typically flower only in spring, Autumn Monarch™ provides multiple seasons of color, blooming in spring, summer, and fall.
Its light green evergreen foliage and larger growth habit make it an excellent choice for creating colorful backgrounds, hedges, foundation plantings, and landscape screens. At maturity, Autumn Monarch™ reaches approximately 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide.
Amount of Sunlight: Light shade to full sun; approximately 4–6 hours of direct sunlight encourages the best blooming.
Amount of Water: Water regularly while establishing the root system. Once established, Encore Azaleas become more drought tolerant but benefit from supplemental watering during extended dry periods.
Soil Conditions: Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
Cold Hardiness Zone: 6b–10b
