from $19.08

LATIN NAME:RHODODENDRON 'Conles'

The Basics

Encore® Azalea Autumn Rouge® is a compact evergreen shrub known for its striking deep red blooms and attractive dark green foliage. Unlike traditional azaleas, Autumn Rouge® produces an abundance of flowers in spring and continues reblooming throughout summer and fall, bringing vibrant color to the landscape for much of the year. Its compact size makes it an excellent choice for borders, foundation plantings, containers, and mass plantings. It typically grows to approximately 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide.

The Needs

Amount of Sunlight: Tolerates full sun; prefers partial shade.

Amount of Water: Water regularly, especially during periods of extreme heat.

Soil Conditions: Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.

Cold Hardiness Zone: 6–10

The Care

This easy-to-maintain shrub benefits from regular watering while its root system becomes established. Once mature, it requires only occasional watering, although additional watering is recommended during extended periods of drought. Applying a layer of mulch around the base of the plant will help conserve moisture and protect the root system. Light pruning immediately after the spring bloom cycle will encourage healthy growth and abundant flowering throughout the growing season.
